Idle Valley's Vacant Gesture gained a very creditable runner-up award at the Champion Beer of Nottinghamshire with Blue Monkey Guerrilla Chocolate Amaretto a 4.9% ABV dark stout taking the top award. Brewer Chris Harrison-Hawkes is very pleased with the success at Nottingham and is now looking forward to the national SIBA awards at the Beer X at Sheffield Ice.
