Fox and Crown at Newark to reopen
The Newark Advertiser reported the following:-
Castle Rock Brewery and Yupp Beer to reopen the Fox and Crown Pub, Newark
A popular Newark town centre pub, closed for two years, is set to reopen.
After closing in August 2020 due to the strain the pandemic put on the hospitality industry, Nottingham-based Castle Rock Brewery and Yupp Beer are bringing the Newark establishment back to life.
The Fox and Crown, Appletongate, will be operated by beer merchant Yupp Beer and is currently undergoing refurbishments.
The Fox and Crown is to reopen as the first Yupp Beer pub. (60874535)
The company is putting it's stamp on the traditional pub, with plans for more keg lines, slushie machines for beer and cocktails, arcade machines, a sound system, extra fridges and new furniture.
It is Yupp Beer's first pub, and an online fundraiser has been organised to help kit it out — with a reward of free beer for a donation. The date for the pub's opening is yet to be confirmed but is expected to be in very near future.
